Thilo Schuppler was born in Stuttgart, Germany.
He joined the German Federal Armed Forces Bundeswehr as an officer candidate of the NBC corps, finished his duty as Lieutenant and joined the army reserve as CBRN officer.
Thilo Schuppler graduated in chemistry and worked as scientist at the
University of Konstanz (Germany), at ALTANA Pharma and the University of Singapore.
Beside his studies he served in several positions as CBRN reserve officer and was promoted to a rank of a major.
In 2008 Thilo Schuppler joined OWR as chemist, responsible for the development of different new decontamination agents for high-value equipment and human skin.
Since 2009 he is head of the R&D department, responsible for the development of
CBRN concepts, technical development and engineering of new solutions, system integration and consulting. He is working especially in the fields of decontamination and CBRN reconnaissance.
2012 to 2015 he was CBRN consultant in the SENEKA project of the Fraunhofer Institute IOSB in Karlsruhe working on Sensor Networks with UGVs for Disaster Management.
Since 2016 he is a civil NATO expert for CBRN.
